Jake Curtis is a graduate of both Northwestern University and the American Film Insititute, where he received a Masters in Screenwriting. He’s worked for Mindy Kaling Productions and Locksmith Animation, and his films have been accepted into the LA Student Film Festival, First Filmmaker Sessions, and won ‘Best Mockumentary’ at the U.K. Offline Festival.
As a D.P., Curtis worked with acclaimed speaker Simon Sinek, as Head of Productions for The Optimism Company. And as a freelancer, he has worked for the United Nations General Assembly and with such talents as Jeff Goldblum and Courtney Cox. All of them said he was a lovely guy.
As an improviser, Curtis performed around the world including sold-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and guest appearances with the Second City Mainstage in Chicago and Canada’s ‘Die-Nasty Theatre’.
His hobbies include pottery, basketball, and writing in the third person.
